Is Beyer Ventures a venture capital fund?

No. Beyer Ventures GmbH is an investment company and venture capital firm. We invest our own capital, not third-party fund money — which is exactly why we can decide fast and stay long.

What stages do you invest in?

Pre-seed and seed. Our first checks typically range from EUR 25,000 to EUR 200,000, and we keep follow-on capacity for the companies we back. We invest selectively and back people first, slides second.

What sectors do you focus on?

Vertical AI, agentic systems, and automation infrastructure are the spaces we understand best. That said, conviction and technical depth matter more than the sector label — if the founder clearly owns the problem, we want to talk.

Do you invest outside your focus sectors?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when the founder and the problem are compelling. Sector focus reflects where we can add the most value, not a hard filter. If you clearly own your problem and are making real progress, reach out regardless of the label.

How do we pitch?

What should my pitch include?

Accepted Answer

The essentials: what you're building, why you're the one to build it, and where you are right now — shipped work, traction, or technical depth. What it doesn't need to include: a polished deck. A few honest paragraphs are enough to start.

What happens after I pitch?

Accepted Answer

If there's a fit, we reply and set up one or two conversations. If the energy is there, we move to a decision — usually within weeks. If it's not a fit, we tell you directly and honestly instead of leaving you with a polite maybe.

What do founders get besides capital?

Honest, direct feedback — no polite maybe. A network of founders, operators, and investors across Berlin and internationally. And an owner who stays for the long run, with follow-on capacity.

Do you only invest in Berlin?

Accepted Answer

No. Berlin is home — our network and much of what we do are anchored here — but we invest internationally. If the fit is mutual, geography is not the blocker.

How fast do you decide?

Fast. First checks usually land within weeks, not quarters. We keep the process lean on purpose — a short note, one or two conversations, and a decision.

Do you take board seats?

Selectively, yes. We bring an operator's perspective, not just a check — where it genuinely helps, we take an active role. Where it doesn't, we stay hands-off and helpful.
